The pyramid-shaped peak of Mount Svinjak rises in Triglav National Park. Due to its distinctive shape the mountain is also known as the “Matterhorn of Bovec“, since it has become the landmark of the municipality of Bovec at its foot. Despite its low altitude, the Svinjak is popular for its panoramic view. From its top one can see the Bovec Basin, the Soča Valley and Slovenias highest peak, Triglav.
