Castle Peak is located in central Idaho and is the highest summit in the White Cloud Mountains, a Rocky Mountains subrange. It rises over Merriam Peak in the north. From the summit you can see more than 25 lakes on clear days. Nearby are the ski resorts of Bald Mountain, Dollar Mountain, and Soldier Mountain. With a climbing difficulty of class III, summitting the mountain is usually only recommended for experienced mountaineers.
