The Churfirsten form a distinctive mountain range in the Appenzell Alps in the Canton of St. Gallen in Switzerland. The highest of the seven peaks is the Hinterrugg with a height of 2,306m. While the range runs out smoothly towards its northern side it drops down steeply on the south face to 420m above sea level.
