South of Lake Tegernsee, the Hirschberg rises with its main peak in the west and the approximately 15-meter lower pre-summit in the east. Despite its comparatively low altitude, the mountain is visible from afar from the north and greets the inhabitants of the region in the Bavarian foothills of the Alps. The summit can be reached via various hiking trails and offers an excellent view, which in good weather ranges from the Rossstein to the Zugspitze and the Grossglockner.
