Hohe Veitsch, the highest peak of the Mürzsteg Alps in Styria, is situated in the east of Mürz Valley and in the West of Styrian Seeberg pass and the Rax mountain range. It is an entire massif with a long plateau drawing from the west to the east. There is no mountain railway, but the way up to the summit is relatively easy, though it does require some stamina.
