Monte Rosa is the second highest mountain massif in the Alps after Mont Blanc. Its highest summit, Dufourspitze, is the second highest Alpine mountain and the country high point of Switzerland. Directly on the border to Italy in the east is the Grenzgipfel (Border Summit) with a height of 4618 meters and further south the Signalkuppe (4554 m). The Capanna Regina Margherita (Margherita Hut) is located directly on the Signalkuppe's summit which makes it Europe's highest building.
