In spite of their relatively low height the Kaiser Mountains and the Wilder Kaiser belong to the most iconic mountains of the Eastern Alps, due to its prominence and easy accessibillity. It is a popular destination for both climbers as well as skiers. Pioneers as climber Hans Dülfer developed new climbing techniques on the mountain walls. The ski area “Wilder Kaiser/Brixenthal” ist one of the largest resorts in Austria.
