Eisriesenwelt

Eisriesenwelt

The “Eisriesenwelt” (the World of the Ice Giants) in the Tennen Mountains in the Austrian state of Salzburg is the largest ice cave in the world. On a distance of over 42 kilometers visitors are presented with a breath-taking natural spectacle that reaches deep into the mountain. Crystal clear ice palaces with monumental ice formations dominate the complex cave system. Even on hot summer days temperatures inside the cave are usually below freezing.

How are our prints made?

We have been drawing mountains since 2015.
Every print is illustrated by hand, and we write and check the texts ourselves.

In the illustrations, we pay attention to perspective and to landmarks that stand for a place, making it easy to recognise. For Alpine passes, we show tunnels or sights along the route, such as the Courchevel altiport at the Col de la Loze.

It is important to us that the texts convey the information and the atmosphere of a route accurately. We use AI for preliminary research, error checking and translation. People carry out the essential steps.
