Lüneburg Heath

Lüneburg Heath

Lüneburg Heath is a unique natural landscape in northern Germany, created by centuries of grazing and clearing. The region was originally covered by dense forest, but human influence turned it into wide stretches of heathland. Today the area covers around 7400 square kilometres and is known above all for its purple flowering heather in late summer.

How are our prints made?

We have been drawing mountains since 2015.
Every print is illustrated by hand, and we write and check the texts ourselves.

In the illustrations, we pay attention to perspective and to landmarks that stand for a place, making it easy to recognise. For Alpine passes, we show tunnels or sights along the route, such as the Courchevel altiport at the Col de la Loze.

It is important to us that the texts convey the information and the atmosphere of a route accurately. We use AI for preliminary research, error checking and translation. People carry out the essential steps.
