Svinjak

Svinjak

The pyramid-shaped summit of Svinjak rises in the Triglav national park. Because of its striking shape it is also called the ‘Matterhorn of Bovec’, having become the landmark of the village at its foot. Despite its comparatively modest height, Svinjak is a popular viewpoint: from the summit you can see the Bovec basin, the Soča valley and Slovenia’s highest peak, Triglav.

How are our prints made?

We have been drawing mountains since 2015.
Every print is illustrated by hand, and we write and check the texts ourselves.

In the illustrations, we pay attention to perspective and to landmarks that stand for a place, making it easy to recognise. For Alpine passes, we show tunnels or sights along the route, such as the Courchevel altiport at the Col de la Loze.

It is important to us that the texts convey the information and the atmosphere of a route accurately. We use AI for preliminary research, error checking and translation. People carry out the essential steps.
