Weißkugel

Weißkugel

The Weißkugel is the third-highest mountain in Austria. Its position directly on the main Alpine crest also makes it the highest summit on the Austrian-Italian border. Four summit ridges meet on the Weißkugel, with glaciers between them. One of them, the Hintereisferner, has been studied scientifically for more than 100 years – one of the longest continuous time series in glacier research.

How are our prints made?

We have been drawing mountains since 2015.
Every print is illustrated by hand, and we write and check the texts ourselves.

In the illustrations, we pay attention to perspective and to landmarks that stand for a place, making it easy to recognise. For Alpine passes, we show tunnels or sights along the route, such as the Courchevel altiport at the Col de la Loze.

It is important to us that the texts convey the information and the atmosphere of a route accurately. We use AI for preliminary research, error checking and translation. People carry out the essential steps.
