Grintovec

Grintovec

Grintovec is the highest peak of the Kamnik–Savinja Alps. While it is assumed that farmers, herdsmen or hunters from the area were the first to reach the summit of Grintovec the first documented ascent was achieved by the botanist Giovanni Antonio Scopoli om 1759. The mountain top offers a panorama view of the Kamnik–Savinja Alps and when weather conditions are good to the south one can even spot the Adriatic Sea.
