The letter quartet features all 26 letters of the alphabet plus the umlauts Ä, Ö and Ü and the ß. The letter combinations CH and SCH were added partly to reach the 32 quartet cards the game requires. Beyond that, they are particularly frequent combinations in German and form characteristic sounds of the language.
Alongside the quartet categories (see below), every card shows the equivalent in the German spelling alphabet, which has consisted of city names since 2022. For CH and SCH we drew on the Austrian spelling alphabet. The letter is also shown as a sign and in Braille (see below).
