Many of our maps, books and games are not made by us alone. Behind them are publishers, Alpine clubs, data sources, an illustrator and retailers – some of them have been with Marmota Maps since the very beginning. Here we introduce them.
Since 1880, Duden has been inseparably linked with the German language. For ‘Das große Buch der deutschen Sprache’, the expertise of the Duden editorial team, the narrative work of Andrea Weller-Essers and the visual design of Marmota Maps came together. The Buchstaben Quartett and our print ‘Das Alphabet’ were also created with the Duden editorial team.
The Book of the Alps was created in collaboration with the German Alpine Club. We also work together on DAV Panorama, the club’s magazine.
The Austrian Alpine Club also contributed to the Book of the Alps. Together with the DAV, it has published the Alpine Club maps since 1972.
The South Tyrol Alpine Club is the third Alpine club to have contributed to the Book of the Alps.
Reinhold Messner’s museums are devoted to mountains, mountaineers and mountain cultures. Their museum shops have stocked Marmota Maps products for many years.
skiresort.info is the world’s largest database of ski resorts. Our ski maps are based on its data: slope lengths by difficulty and the highest and lowest point of every ski resort.
This Hamburg specialist shop for maps, travel guides and globes has shown our products since Marmota Maps was founded and has supported us from the very beginning.
The Hamburg illustrator and children’s book author is known for his graphically reduced drawing style in muted colours. Together with him we created ‘The World of Animals’: almost 100 animals on a world map, from the polar bear in Greenland to the penguins of Antarctica.
Low Pressure, publisher of the Stormrider Guide, is a legend of the surf scene. Our map ‘Surfing Worldwide’ was created using data from the Stormrider Guide: 108 surf regions with the best months for surfing.
