Der Mont Aiguille ist ein markanter Berg der Nördlichen Dauphiné-Kalkalpen in der Region Isère. Ähnlich den berühmten Tafelbergen im Monument Valley in Utah ragt sein Gipfel steil aus seiner Umgebung empor. er ist ein Überbleibsel einer einstigen Hochebene, die um die Berge herum durch Erosion und das Schleifen einstiger Gletscher abgetragen wurde. Abgesetzt vom Hauptkamm des Massif du Vercors ist der Mont Aiguille trotz vergleichsweise geringer Höhe weithin sichtbar.
