Mount Logan is Canada's highest mountain and the second highest peak of North America, making it one of the Seven Second Summits. It was only discovered in 1890 and named after Canadian geologist Sir William Edmond Logan, one year later. Summitting Mount Logan is generally considered a bigger challenge then the ascent of Denali. The remote location, extreme cold and storms are the biggest obstacles. The first successful summit attempt took place in 1925.
