Der Monte Baldo bildet einen 30 Kilometer langen Bergrücken, der sich über dem Ostufer des Gardasees erhebt und auf der anderen Seite ins Etschtal in der Provinz Trient abfällt. Höchster Punkt des Bergrückens ist die Cima Valdritta. Der Berg ist sehr gut erschlossen und somit leicht zu besteigen. Der Gipfel des Monte Baldo ragte während der Eiszeiten über die Gletscher, dadurch wurde hier eine einzigartige Flora bewahrt, die es sonst nirgendwo mehr gibt.
