Mount Vancouver

Mount Vancouver

Mount Vancouver is part of the Saint Elias Mountains and lies on the US-Canadian border. It has three summits. The north summit is the highest and lies in the Yukon. The international border runs along the south summit, also known as “Good Neighbor Peak”. The mountain was named after the British George Vancouver, who explored the Alaskan coast in the late 18th century. It was first summited in 1949. Due to its remote location summit attempts occur rarely today.
