The Earth is beautiful, and on every continent of our planet there are fascinating places that nature has created and that have filled people with awe and wonder for thousands of years. Powerful waterfalls, strangely colored waters and shores, seemingly endless deserts, or bizarre rock formations and plants. There are thousands of such wonderful places and regions all over the Earth. On our world map, we present a small selection of 99 very special natural wonders across the six inhabited continents.
At lower elevations, the basic structure of the map consists of contour lines for every 100 meters. From 500 meters upward, each 500 meters marks a new elevation level. We then added bodies of water, country borders, the most important places, all labels, and finally the 99 special natural wonders to the map. The green coloring of all landmasses is unusual for a world map, but for us it fits the theme of the map perfectly – the incredible nature of a wonderful world. We should do everything we can to preserve its beauty.

The natural wonders are divided into different categories: Rock and Stone, Coast and Water, Desert and Fire, as well as Trees and Plants.

We illustrated all 99 natural wonders ourselves.
The map is meant to inspire further discovery of these and other special places.
We show the 99 special places on the map here: List of the 99 Natural Wonders
