Mount Grinnell

Mount Grinnell in Glacier National Park, Montana, lies approximately in the middle between Mount Gould in the south and Mount Wilbur in the north. It is named after George Bird Grinnell, one of the first white explorers of the area. Grinnell was also one of the main driving forces in establishing Glacier National Park in 1910. More famous than the main summit is Grinnell Point, a subpeak of the mountain, which is often photographed from the Many Glacier Hotel on Swiftcurrent Lake.
