Mount Timpanogos

Mount Timpanogos

Mount Timpanogos in northern Utah is the second highest mountain of the Wasatch Range in the Rocky Mountains. The name comes from the native Ute tribe, and can be translatet as “rock and water mouth” or “rock and canyon”. The massive mountain's impressive appearance is due to its long ridge of about 7 miles, with many peaks being above 11000 feet (3300 m). Though not completely risk-free, reaching Mount Timpanogos' top requires no particular climbing skills which makes it one of the most frequently climbed summits in the Rocky Mountains.
