Finsteraarhorn

Finsteraarhorn

The Finsteraarhorn is located in a quite remote are of the Alps, surrounded by uninhabited glacial valleys. Seen from the northeast the summit resembles a shark's fin, from the soutwest it looks like a giant triangle. In spite of being the highest summit of the Bernese Alps the Finsteraarhorn's remote location makes it much less known than the lower peaks of Mönch, Eiger and Jungfrau.

How are our prints made?

We have been drawing mountains since 2015.
Every print is illustrated by hand, and we write and check the texts ourselves.

In the illustrations, we pay attention to perspective and to landmarks that stand for a place, making it easy to recognise. For Alpine passes, we show tunnels or sights along the route, such as the Courchevel altiport at the Col de la Loze.

It is important to us that the texts convey the information and the atmosphere of a route accurately. We use AI for preliminary research, error checking and translation. People carry out the essential steps.
