Große Kinigat

Große Kinigat

Große Kinigat or Monte Cavallino, lying on the border between East Tyrol and the Italian Province of Belluno, was supposed to be sold in 2011. After heavy protests the Austrian government abandoned these plans. The mountain is easy to climb and offers a great panoramic view up to Großvenediger and Großglockner, one of the highlights on the Carnic High Elevation Trail which follows the border between Italy and Austria over 155 kilometres.

How are our prints made?

We have been drawing mountains since 2015.
Every print is illustrated by hand, and we write and check the texts ourselves.

In the illustrations, we pay attention to perspective and to landmarks that stand for a place, making it easy to recognise. For Alpine passes, we show tunnels or sights along the route, such as the Courchevel altiport at the Col de la Loze.

It is important to us that the texts convey the information and the atmosphere of a route accurately. We use AI for preliminary research, error checking and translation. People carry out the essential steps.
