Gunnbjørn Fjeld is the highest mountain in Greenland and the highest point north of the Arctic Circle. It is named after Gunnbjørn Ulvsson, the first European to discover Greenland. Part of the Watkins Range, Gunnbjørn Fjeld rises on the island’s east coast. Because of its remote position, ascents are rarely attempted. The first documented ascent was made by a British expedition in 1935; the summit was not reached a second time until 1987.

How are our prints made?

We have been drawing mountains since 2015.
Every print is illustrated by hand, and we write and check the texts ourselves.

In the illustrations, we pay attention to perspective and to landmarks that stand for a place, making it easy to recognise. For Alpine passes, we show tunnels or sights along the route, such as the Courchevel altiport at the Col de la Loze.

It is important to us that the texts convey the information and the atmosphere of a route accurately. We use AI for preliminary research, error checking and translation. People carry out the essential steps.
