Mont Aiguille

Mont Aiguille

The Mont Aiguille is a striking mountain of the Northern Dauphiné Limestone Alps in the Isère region. Like the famous mesas of Monument Valley in Utah, its summit rises steeply out of its surroundings. It is the remnant of a former plateau that was worn away around the mountains by erosion and the grinding of former glaciers. Set apart from the main crest of the Massif du Vercors, the Mont Aiguille is visible from far away despite its comparatively modest height.

How are our prints made?

We have been drawing mountains since 2015.
Every print is illustrated by hand, and we write and check the texts ourselves.

In the illustrations, we pay attention to perspective and to landmarks that stand for a place, making it easy to recognise. For Alpine passes, we show tunnels or sights along the route, such as the Courchevel altiport at the Col de la Loze.

It is important to us that the texts convey the information and the atmosphere of a route accurately. We use AI for preliminary research, error checking and translation. People carry out the essential steps.
