Mont Pelvoux

Mont Pelvoux

The Mont Pelvoux is a broad, massive mountain block in the east of the Écrins massif in the French Western Alps. The ascent is demanding: from the Refuge du Pelvoux on the southern slope, the normal route follows an ice gully that grows ever steeper. Once the plateau with the Glacier du Pelvoux is reached, the various peaks can be climbed comparatively easily.

How are our prints made?

We have been drawing mountains since 2015.
Every print is illustrated by hand, and we write and check the texts ourselves.

In the illustrations, we pay attention to perspective and to landmarks that stand for a place, making it easy to recognise. For Alpine passes, we show tunnels or sights along the route, such as the Courchevel altiport at the Col de la Loze.

It is important to us that the texts convey the information and the atmosphere of a route accurately. We use AI for preliminary research, error checking and translation. People carry out the essential steps.
