Schlögener Schlinge

Schlögener Schlinge

The Schlögener Schlinge is an impressive natural wonder in Upper Austria. About halfway between Passau and Linz, the Danube, guided through hard granite stone of the Bohemian massif, makes a sharp turn that almost closes the river in a circle. The impressive meander can be viewed extraordinary well from the viewing platforms in the Schlögener area, which are connected by numerous cycling and hiking trails.

How are our prints made?

We have been drawing mountains since 2015.
Every print is illustrated by hand, and we write and check the texts ourselves.

In the illustrations, we pay attention to perspective and to landmarks that stand for a place, making it easy to recognise. For Alpine passes, we show tunnels or sights along the route, such as the Courchevel altiport at the Col de la Loze.

It is important to us that the texts convey the information and the atmosphere of a route accurately. We use AI for preliminary research, error checking and translation. People carry out the essential steps.
