Sella Pass

Sella Pass

At 2,218 metres, the Sella Pass lies exactly where two giants meet: the Sella group and the Langkofel group. The pass connects Val Gardena with Val di Fassa and is one of the most beautiful roads in the Dolomites.

Our print shows the pass from the south, looking up from the Val di Fassa side. In the foreground the pass road winds in tight hairpins through conifer forest and alpine meadows up to the top of the pass. Behind it the Langkofel group rises: on the right the massive Langkofel (Sassolungo, 3,181 m), next to it the slender needles of the Fünffingerspitze and the Grohmannspitze (3,126 m), and on the left the Zahnkofel and Plattkofel close off the group. Below them the pale scree slopes – that peculiar division that makes the Dolomites what they are: soft meadows at the bottom, sheer rock above.

A print for everyone who has ever stopped up here. On a bike, on a motorbike, or simply because the view demanded it.

How are our prints made?

We have been drawing mountains since 2015.
Every print is illustrated by hand, and we write and check the texts ourselves.

In the illustrations, we pay attention to perspective and to landmarks that stand for a place, making it easy to recognise. For Alpine passes, we show tunnels or sights along the route, such as the Courchevel altiport at the Col de la Loze.

It is important to us that the texts convey the information and the atmosphere of a route accurately. We use AI for preliminary research, error checking and translation. People carry out the essential steps.
