Tschingelhörner

Tschingelhörner

The Tschingelhörner are a multi-peak mountain in the Glarus Alps. Like giant dwarves the peaks reside above a layer of Verrucano formation. This young rock formation rests on top of an older one, together forming the Glarus thrust, a famous geotope and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Even though the highest mountain of the Glarus Alps is the Tödi, the Tschingelhörner's unique shape make them a popular tourist destination as well.

How are our prints made?

We have been drawing mountains since 2015.
Every print is illustrated by hand, and we write and check the texts ourselves.

In the illustrations, we pay attention to perspective and to landmarks that stand for a place, making it easy to recognise. For Alpine passes, we show tunnels or sights along the route, such as the Courchevel altiport at the Col de la Loze.

It is important to us that the texts convey the information and the atmosphere of a route accurately. We use AI for preliminary research, error checking and translation. People carry out the essential steps.
