Wildspitze

The Wildspitze is the second-highest mountain in Austria and the highest of the Ötztal Alps. Thanks to its great prominence, the view from the Wildspitze is limited in practice only by the curvature of the earth, reaching from the Bernese Alps in the west, with the Bietschhorn and the Aletschhorn, to the Schober group in the east. In the last century the north summit was the higher of the Wildspitze’s two peaks, but it has melted away; today the south summit is the highest point of the mountain.

How are our prints made?

We have been drawing mountains since 2015.
Every print is illustrated by hand, and we write and check the texts ourselves.

In the illustrations, we pay attention to perspective and to landmarks that stand for a place, making it easy to recognise. For Alpine passes, we show tunnels or sights along the route, such as the Courchevel altiport at the Col de la Loze.

It is important to us that the texts convey the information and the atmosphere of a route accurately. We use AI for preliminary research, error checking and translation. People carry out the essential steps.
