In cooperation with Deutschen AlpenvereinThe Mountains of the Alps Book introduces over 130 summits from all alpine countries. For that we followed Paul Zahns' suggestion and split the alps up into 63 mountain regions. The books portrays Mountains from the complete alpine arch - from Monaco to Slovenia.
Every mountain region is shown on one double page. From Allgau to Ybbstaler Alps. From the alpine foothills to the highest peaks of the Wallisian Alps and the Mont Blanc-Massive.
All Mountains are shown with their most important geographical data. The book contains facts about rockclimbing, like the climbing history, difficulty of the climb and the most important huts in the surroundings. It shows special climbing-, hiking-, and ski touring-mountains and summits, that already bear signs that show the effect of climate change in the high mountains.
