Mont Pelvoux is a wide, mighty massif with multiple peaks in the Massif des Écrins. The ascent is challenging. The normal route starts in the shelter “Refuge du Pelvoux“ on the southern slope and leads over an ice gully, that gets steeper the higher you climb. As soon as the glacier plateau with “Glacier du Pelvoux“ is reached, it is comparatively easy to ascend the several peaks.
