Glärnisch is the highest mountain massif in the Schwyz Alps. In other classifications of the mountain groups it is assigned to the Glarus Alps, because it is situated entirely in the canton of Glarus. It consists of several summits, the highest being Bächistock. Because of Glärnisch‘s height and location its peaks offer a fantastic view over the North East of Switzerland.
