Situated in the Pennine Alps in the Swiss canton of Valais the main summit of the Becs de Bosson, the Grand Bec, rises up to 3,149 meters. The subpeak, Petit bec, is only 20 centimeters lower. The mountain chalet Cabane de Becs de Bosson at an altitude of 2,983 meters is the starting point or rest stop for many climbers attempting to reach the summit.
