Königssee

Nestled between the steep slopes of the Watzmann and Hagen Mountains, the Königssee lies hidden amidst the Berchtesgaden National Park. The lake’s breath-taking scenery is shaped by the near vertical slopes of the surrounding summits. Due to the unique architecture of the area, the crystal blue water can only be explored by boat, since there are no foot or bike paths along the lakeshore.
