The Passo Pordoi lies cornered by Sass Pordoi and Sass Becé amidst the Dolomites and separates the Italian provinces of Trento and Belluno. Built at the beginning of the 20th century to connect Bolzano with Cortina d’Ampezzo as one of the highest paved mountain passes in the Dolomites, today the Pordoi Pass is foremost a popular tourist destination. In summer, asso Pordoi is the starting point for hikes, climbing trips or mountain tours, while in winter the slopes of the Belvedere and Arabba ski areas can be reached from the pass.
