Titlis is located in the center of the Uri Alps. It is the highest peak in a mountain range that is around 20 kilometers long. While the curved summit of Titlis drops off steeply to the east and south and forms impressive mountain walls, it slopes gently down to the north towards the municipality of Engelberg in Obwalden. With cable car access and attractions such as the Titlis Cliff Walk, it is a very popular and highly frequented mountain, whether for hiking in the summer or skiing in the winter.
